Just in case you're wondering, this amazing kids play:
0:50 Bach - Cello Suite 1
2:00 Rossini - William Tell Overture End
2:06 Vivaldi - Spring
2:21 Mozart - Eine Kleine Nachtmusik
You guys can't imagine how we feel when we hear those great plays in recycled instruments. Brings so much hope to our world.
1:53 Andin Music - El Carnavalito (Little Carnival)
Thank you so much! I was wondering which song that would be.
You know, well music!. :')
Gracias por el dato, Marcelo Zárate !
Queria um saxofone. Vocês fazem para venda? Obrigada.
I played this video during my sermon this Sunday. Everybody is somebody in the eyes of Jesus.
"People shouldn't throw away trash carelessly. We shouldn't throw people either" This touched my heart.
Deeply touch by Myrian, at 5:37. "sometimes, our dreams do come true. Maybe not in our lives, but through people we love very much"
I cried when I watched this because I was so moved by the feelings that the music brought to them. It became what they lived for. It made butterflies it their stomach. My life would be worthless without music one girl said.
Music against poverty! Great!!! Thank you their musical teacher!!!
I play viola and had the privilege of performing with these young people this weekend! What an inspiration to watch and meet them!
Music is love, love heals.... Compassion annihilates suffering, and we should share this example as expression of our love and compassion with others. What touches deeply our hearts, it touches others too.
You kids, your mentors and your music redefine "underprivileged." It's my privilege to hear your story and your music. God Bless!
Orgullosa de ser Paraguaya!! This made in Paraguay!!! I Love my country!! Bravsisimo para estos chicos!
It was a great emotion to hear Bach played out of an old tin can! What a pure sound!
The orchestra, its creator and the players are an example of human strength, solidarity, ingeniosity and hope in a better future.
I am so touched when I watched for the first time, no words can express my state of mind, emotion, and soul.
It was so powerful and touching when the girl said "My life would be pointless without music". I think every human being has the right and passion toward "Beauty", and we should do as much as we can to let everyone have the chance to pursuit "Beauty". Truly love this trailer and can't wait to watch the film!!
Gracias hermanos Paraguayos!!
Felicitaciones.
This makes me want to play my musical instrument more often.
Thank you very much for sharing this!
Sensitivity!!
This is one of the most moving and incredible Projects in the world - the true embodiment of hope and inspiration.
Such an amazing project! Really inspiring.
As a lady who plays the drums. I know how much music saved me and helped me to overcome my troubles. So to see these kids not letting anything stop them from achieving their goals is truly inspiring.
I just saw this on 60 minutes. Unbelievable! I hope that these kids can get scholarships to study music. Also, the men that made these instruments are geniuses.
No doubt. I just happened to see it by accident on "60 Minutes". It's good to see people helping each other out.
There are no words for the awesome spirit of these people & this endeavour....thank you for making this movie
This is the culture of hope.
Beyond words. I'm a musician too, and this truly leaves me in tears. This is what music is truly about - congratulations to every single one of you involved in this project - THANK YOU so much for this extraordinary experience.
NO OLVIDEMOS ESTE BONITO MENSAJE
"My life would be worthless without music" - so heart-warming in this cold month! The recycled orchestra, huge kudos to those kids & adults who made it possible!
Thank you Cracked!
So inspiring! As a violin player myself,Music is such an important part in my life and I can tell that is means the world to them.
Viva Paraguay!
If there's one thing mankind did right, it's inventing music
Being a musician, this video makes my heart ache... and also
rejoice as these people make the best of what they have!
And knowing that they have pretty much nothing,
makes it so inspiring!
When Beni began playing his cello, I couldn't hold back the tears. This is a m a z i n g !
Just used this as an object lessons for my kids that there is genius and creativity in all people everywhere. May God bless these young artists and their mentors!
This gives a whole new dimension to "make the best of what life throws at You"
Favio Chavez, You are a Genious and You need All the support You can get.
OMG!! I cried when I saw this. This is beyond inspirational. It shows the "1st" world how much we take for granted. That classical music can be flourishing as shown is the strength of the human spirit. I want to help these children!!
soul touching! Thanks a million to the producer of this video and the channel owner, for having this message delivered to the rest of us! heart filled with ache and eyes fill with tears, this should be an ultimate inspiration to all musicians and musicians-to-be. Thank you again!
Love this....such a wonderful way of recycling rubbish. And making people happy. Well done !
This short video is inspiring on multiple levels! Hopefully, this video can deliver it's message to so many who need to hear it: "People realize that we shouldn't throw away trash carelessly ... we shouldn't throw away people either".
how wonderful that the people of Cateura have this man to help the children have hope in having a better life and to get that through garbage . Would love to hear them on tour
I love the concept of resourcefulness. The US is a country whIere we take Soooo much for granted. It's nice to see that the youth of this poverty-stricken town are rising above to create something so beautiful.
OMG, these beautiful souls...treasures beyond worth. I am humbled....
When he played the cello I felt goosebumps all over my body. This kind of things is why I love human kind, simply beautiful!
I really love how we humans have such an indomitable spirit!
I'm from Paraguay and I feel so proud of these kids :')
Vamos Paraguay!
What a great mission for the world to see. Thank you for sharing your story for the entire world. We wish you and the musicians the best.
Make beautiful music from garbage really touch my heart, we have been taking lots of things for granted. We need to sit back and rethink lots of things in our lives.
This is amazing. Thank you for sharing this story. This movie needs to be watched by the world.
I have no words, just tears and a grateful heart for the vision being carried out in this all

This story made me cry! People have such an incredible strength in them!!
Oh my... This is amazing! I almost cry when he says "It sounds like this" Amazing!
This is haunting, daunting and beautiful all wrapped in one! The world needs to hear and see these people play.
Wow, so inspiring. This is really a wonderful example of bringing people together using the crudest of materials...using whatever you have to create a community. And the fact that it's done by making musical instruments? Even better. This is truly amazing.
It really makes you realize how little other people have in some parts of the world. Talk about first world problems...I whine about cleaning my room, or doing the dishes, and here we see people building their homes literally on top of a landfill, making cellos out of oil drums. Gives you a little perspective.
Many of us have so much but, these people are an inspiration.
Couldn't be more proud of what these kids have been able to accomplish with so little!
This is one of the most inspirational stories related to music I have ever come across! What an amazing aspiration for these kids and their mentor! It's amazing how I take my violin for granted, looking at it in a new light! Amazing story, to say the least!
Who in their right mind would give this a thumbs down? Kudos to these amazing kids and their teacher!
That cello ,Some sound !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just watch the love with which it is held and played.
Lovely kids and proud parents. For all 3rd worlders this is a shining example of just one door to a future with more hope . Circumstances should never be a deterrent if you have and retain a sense of self worth, dignity.and refuse to give up. Here music is the key held out to them by their mentor. Absolutely inspirational and sensitively filmed.
Felicidades Enhorabuena !!
I love this story only because it demonstrates, with perfect clarity, that wonderful things can be found in the worse imagined situations. America's social leaches could learn so much from these people! God Bless them and their great sprites.
Again, you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something - your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life. (Steve Jobs)
I just discovered this and it's timeless and ABSOLUTELY fantastic.
You are amazing people! You have found beauty and opportunities in places that people otherwise would disregard. I have tears in my eyes! Utterly inspiring.
Beautiful & inspiring! I remember playing with a drummer in Africa who had made a drum out of a section of clay water pipe with a tire inner tube stretched across the top. We who have so much sometimes forget how much we can do with very little when we come from our hearts and spirits, and not just minds and egos. Blessings!
Love the story. I'm from paraguay but now I live in the states.... This vid makes me sad and happy altogether.
This is a great video about the human spirit.
Those who can't see it are just numb. They have no life. They have no joy.
To techsipport:
There's no reason to dislike this video. I don't know why someone would waste time and energy pressing that button. Why?
This is more than music - this is inspiration! I am a speaker and I am going to share your inspirational message with the world - what a great example
Anyone who dislikes or makes a negative remark about this is merely trying to get a rise out of those of us who are genuinely moved by this story of the power of music's inherent goodness. Music builds community. Negativity infects and erodes community. I prefer to celebrate music rather than to take the bait of negativity's abusive intent.
This is inspiring! We live in a throw away society...its great to see something deemed useless turned into something so alive and beautiful!
This is one of the most inspiring videos on this platform
Wonderful expression of interbeing! We shouldn't throw away trash nor throw away people carelessly. Moving!
The story of the landfill orchestra in Paraguay is an antidote to all the terrible news today. It's a story about music's power to lift people up, of creating beautiful art from trash. I can't believe how good these recycled instruments sound! This gives me hope for the future.
God bless these musicians and their teacher for being able to make real music from trash! I can't believe the quality of the music these kids get out of their instruments.
I hope that Facebook is able to help them in their quest to be musicians, despite their
drastic circumstances.
Absolutely inspiring, a live without music is empty.
This clip is so inspiring to not only musicians, but arts activist because the use of turning trash into the glorious treasure that is music in a community that needs to have it! Wish I could go there myself and help with the strings!
~Sulli
One of the most amazing things, these eyes have had the pleasure to watch. Truly inspirational, may God bless you all.
Awesome! Beautiful! Moving! Inspiring! Brilliant! Thank you Mr Music Teacher!
This is a very inspirational how from the dumps, comes the beauty of angelic music produced and played by young angels!!!
Hugs,
Jane
How could someone dislike this vid? Seriously - this is the best thing I´ve seen all day (and that includes chinchillas)
This shows so well the beauty and genius in all people .....just a small spark and they created a mater piece from trash....just amazing....love it!!'
This is absolutely incredible. Brought tears to my eyes.
Inspiring. The human spirit is amazing -- we can be so inventive when we are moved to do so.
I wish these kids all the best. I am 100% sure more than one world-class musician will emerge from this.
His movements were spot on, and as an audio engineer the altered resonance from the oilcan vs a normal cello body is perfectly audible, as are all the occasional tuning anomalies coming from asymmetrical instruments. Believe whatever you want, though, it's your choice to reject what little beauty remains in humanity.
These kids deserve a good, a better future.
I'd like to donate an instrument to one of these kids. Is it difficult to do that for a kid to Paraguay?
This is wonderful! What a positive transformation for the garbage - and the children! I'll send a dollar in a heartbeat.
My country some people has musical instrument made of trash too but they do samba genre and this just wow, classic music? i thought it was really impossible. But you guys prove it, great job, really inspiring!
Absolutely heartwarming! Tears of joy seeing & hearing the beautiful instruments & music made out of garbage! #recyclers
Amazing! This is so wonderful to see and hear. The joy and hope that comes from the music and the people that make it.
ppl cannot refuse liking it....................hats off for the idea and the music .............
Hermoso... y además me recordó a #LesLuthiers
Fills my old heart with joy!
RESPECT!!! I feel so bad for living in a trashing world and see them, who LIVE in a "trash-world" making so wonderfull things out of our trash.
I cried the tears. This is humanity the beautiful.
what a positive post! in the worst of conditions music exists.....in their souls as well as in their fingers!
